“I thoroughly enjoyed looking at the proofs and found it very difficult to choose… I think you have done a fantastic job of recording the day in a unique and creative way and I genuinely felt that they were the best wedding pictures I’ve ever seen.”
“Just wanted to extend my thanks for the fantastic album. We have had endless praise for your work. Keep well.”
“Oliver and I have been spending many a happy hour going over the albums of proofs you provided and we absolutely love them.”
“I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the beautiful album you put together. Honestly, you captured the day perfectly and provided us with some fantastic memories. I think what makes the album special is the time and effort you put in to it – from the actual day to the all the planning stages – the final product is a reflection of all your work. I could waffle on for pages Matt but Ian and I just wanted to let you know how fab we feel your work is.”
“Thank you so much for the wonderful photographs. You have been, and will be recommended to everyone needing top quality memories of anything special to them, as our wedding was to us.”
“Photographs arrived safely. They are absolutely fabulous… absolutely amazing.”
“We want to thank you for our beautiful wedding photographs. We know they will prompt wonderful memories for us in the years to come. We both had absolute confidence in you throughout the time you were involved with our wedding and have been happy to recommend you to others.”
“Wanted to drop you a line to say thanks again. We were going over the proofs just this past Sunday for probably the 15th time to choose the finals… it’s never a chore. The photos you took were exactly as we had hoped to capture… a fly-on-the-wall approach capturing moods, facial expressions, people off guard, etc.
We had a couple close friends look at the proofs and they were angry. Angry because they never thought wedding photos could look so good and convey so much of the day… especially since they didn’t even attend. (I suspect if our friend could get married again, she would just to get better photos!) She kept saying how the photos made everyone look so glamorous and model-like. (If she had only seen the aftermath in the wee hours of the barn.)
Lastly, if it’s alright with you, I’d like to stay in touch… there may be opportunities to collaborate on projects professionally. I’ll let you know well in advance if an opportunity pops up. I’m always looking to work with good resources.”
“Dear Mathew, do you remember me – the only man still using a Rolleiflex and tripod in 2003? Helen has just presented Sylvia with a framed print of the shot of the two of them – mother and daughter – marching along purposefully in step at the wedding, quite oblivious of the camera. Wonderful – the best mother and daughter shot I have ever seen or expect to see.
The proof album was equally impressive, so we are looking forward very much to seeing the final product. You produced exactly the style and standard of coverage that Helen and Oliver had in mind.
So many thanks for a highly skilled and professional performance and for your good natured acceptance of all that the day produced. It was a pleasure to meet you.
With best wishes”
“Matt, Stunning, mate. Stunning.
Don’t know what it is, but perhaps it’s the fact that the pages are now stuck in and I can step back to view the photos with some perspective. Brought a tear to my eye actually as the whole book conveys exactly how the day was. Can you get a better pictorial definition of happiness? I caught myself smiling and grinning with each turn of the page.
The enlargement is equally great. The rich saturation of color was as I imagined it. While it’s a shame my father is still a bit concealed, I can be happy in knowing that there is still the b/w version with 50% of his head. Thanks for cutting that deal and taking care of us (in reference to the wrinkled 1st colored print)…
Anyway, take care, hope to see you tomorrow, and stay in touch. Thanks again for the great gift of your eye.”
I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know that the album and photo’s arrived safely a couple of Saturday’s ago. Apologies I’ve taken so long in letting you know but we have been away.Mike and I are really pleased with the pictures – they’re a really good record of the day, which seems like a lifetime ago now! Many thanks once again, and if I know of anyone getting married, or indeed needing a photographer, I certainly wont hesitate to recommend you. Best Wishes
