Kate and Rob married at Great John Street Hotel in Manchester. I have worked many times at this busy Manchester City Centre Wedding Venue and I have to say this was one of the most liveliest celebrations ever!
As part of their day Kate and Rob organised to walk the short distance to the old Granada Studio set of Coronation Street. The famous studio has just been granted a wedding licence, and couples who book the unique venue can say ‘I do’ inside the Rovers Return or the Underworld Factory. And following the vows, they can step onto the hallowed cobbles to take their wedding photos in front of their favourite sites, from Roy’s Rolls to Nick’s Bistro, before celebrating with a drinks reception.
The former Coronation Street set was opened to the public in April following the soap’s move to MediaCityUK.
Continuum Leading Attractions, who run Coronation Street The Tour, applied for a license after numerous requests from Corrie-obsessed couples.
We just used to Rovers Return, and other infamous locations for pictures. It was enormous fun! It was then back to the hotel for a BBQ and full on party. I left around 11.00 and captured some of the best dance floor action since starting out as a wedding photographer some 15 years ago.
The flowers for the day were supplied by Barkers florists of Timperley, Function Central provided the live music and Bridal Couture supplied Kate’s amazing dress?
Some lovely words from Kate and Rob “Wow! Thank you so much for the photographs. So many people have said that they are the best photos they have ever seen! They have captured the day perfectly and some of the expressions you have managed to photograph are exceptional. You must have fast reactions!! We love them. There is not one that we don’t like, it obviously helps that we are such a good looking bunch! ;-)”
